What's inside the incredible Jao Hand Refrsher?
For those folks who think all hand sanitizers are created equal/or who still have questions about safety, here is the what and why...
- 65% ethyl alcohol (ours is from grapes) to kill germs safely with no bacteriostats that weaken over time or grow resistant germs or are marine pollutants.
- We do not use bezalkonium chloride or triclosan which are bad for humans and the environment.
- Glycerin, Glyceryl Polyacrylate- humectant. Begins with natural glycerine which is a byproduct of soap manufactured in Spain and is thickened with .2% mix of Amino Methyl Propanol and Carbomer which are safe and have to be used together to thicken the glycerine to become a much better moisturizer.
- Panthenol is a vitamin good for healing skin.
- PPG-20 Methyl Glucose Ether is derived from corn sugar. It is an emolient to protect the skin from the drying effects of the alcohol.
- Plus we have all the goodies chamomile, calendula, lavendar, tea tree, eucalyptus, geranium and sage. This is why our boutique blend is more expensive and is the one and only not just for hands sanitizer.

Hand Refresher™ The first "upscale"
antibacterial is an instant disinfectant and aromatherapy boost
in one. Jao kills germs and freshens hands with ethyl alcohol
(less drying) and our very own blend of antiseptic essential
oils: Lavendar, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Geranium, and Sage. Some
antibacterials use a synthetic bacteriostat called Triclosan
which is a known marine pollutant and has become controversial
for its ability to give rise to bacteria that can become resistant.
Alcohol does the job and leaves no residue to foster microbial
resistance. Combined with cosmetic moisturizers and the essential
oils Jao will not dry out your hands. It'll feel like you just
washed with an herbal lavendar soap. Jao. It's your

Jao
Hand Refresher™ was tested against seven
of the most likely hand contaminants, specifically:
Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococus aureus,
Klebsiella pneumoniae, Candida albicans, Salmonella choleraseous,
Streptococcus pneumoniae.
In all cases, the "kill rate" was less than
one minute.
